Roman K is the Kyiv DJ Roman Krimsky, a resident of the Closer club and founder of the Closer Connection school.
He has been learning the craft since 2005 and has done it his own way from the start: by collecting records. His collection is not a collector’s display case but a working tool — American house classics sit in it next to contemporary “jazzy” material from Underground Quality, FXHE, Ethereal Sound, Rush Hour, Drumpoet Community, Aesthetic Audio and Sistrum. Roman himself says there is nothing he likes more than playing with his turntables, and his sets show it.
His first event in the Resident Advisor database is dated 2008. Today he is a resident and close friend of CXEMA, Rithm Buro, Strichka and Closer, and plays most often at Closer, Xlib, ∄, Efir Violet and Boom Boom Room. Beyond Kyiv he has been heard in Berlin.
On 9 August 2026 Roman K played the electronic stage of the Vyrii. Prostoneba festival in the KYT pavilion at VDNG — the same day Serge Jazzmate and Zombies In Miami played there.
