The Maneken — Nova Era at Origin Stage, 17 October. The Maneken returns to the Origin Stage with his album Nova Era — a record his fans had waited nine years for. It really is a new era: it crystallised after several distinct periods in Yevhen Filatov’s life and became a new stage in The Maneken’s creative path. On Nova Era the artist shapes a musical language of his own and rethinks the influences of the world scene: electropop, funk, urban rhythms and electronic textures meet in its sound. Seventy musicians from different countries took part in the recording, and that variety of approaches gave Nova Era its breadth and depth. “This album is about me. About our contemporary Ukrainian music. It is very honest; it has no correlation with time, context, conjuncture or demand. I believe that over the years of my work I have earned the right to record the music that lives inside me,” says Yevhen Filatov. After its release, Nova Era won Album of the Year at the YUNA Awards 2025, the Jager Music Awards 2026 and the Zolota Zoria Lirum prize. The Nova Era concert is a chance to hear the album live — and to hear how today’s Ukrainian music sounds in a global context without losing its identity. The first live presentation sold out; after countless requests from listeners the team decided to repeat the show, and on 17 October Nova Era will sound live again at Origin Stage. Why go? To hear Nova Era exactly as The Maneken conceived it — the album’s many layers open up fully in a concert setting. To see the show’s second life after the sell-out: the first night filled the hall, and the repeat came at the request of listeners who wanted to relive it. And to switch off: Nova Era is funk, electronics, movement and a lightness that is often missing today.
