Salif Keita’s voice returns to the dancefloor — this time in an Afro-house frame
MoBlack, Bedouin and Feki Station have reworked the Malian classic’s ‘Mandjou’. The producers deliberately avoided rebuilding the song for the club, giving the original vocal room instead.
MoBlack has linked with Bedouin and Feki Station for a new rework of Salif Keita’s ‘Mandjou’. The release came out on 24 July via Decca Records France.

It continues a story: MoBlack previously produced an official remix of Keita’s ‘Yamore’, which became one of the more visible examples of how classic African vocal recordings can find a second life inside modern Afro-house and melodic club sets.
‘Mandjou’, though, is not treated as a quick edit or a simple vocal lift. Keita’s original voice stays the emotional centre, with organic instrumentation, tribal percussion and restrained club movement built around it — so the song keeps its dignity rather than drowning under the production.
According to MoBlack, the track began as a spark back in 2024 and developed slowly together with Bedouin, Salif Keita himself and Feki Station.
