Vanessa Paradis released ‘Les épines du cœur’ as its own single — Julien Jabre’s remix runs 69 seconds longer than the original
The single carries three versions: the original, a short piece of work by The Ninety2 and the Frenchman’s four-minute house version. The release is dated 24 April 2026.
The house version by Julien Jabre has stopped being a bonus at the end of an album: on 24 April 2026 Vanessa Paradis’ ‘Les épines du cœur’ came out as its own single, with the Frenchman’s remix as the third track.
The release holds three slots in total: the original (2:54), ‘The Ninety2 Remix’ (2:58) and the ‘Julien Jabre Remix’ (4:03). The date and the running order are recorded in the Apple Music catalogue.
The difference in running time is not a detail here: Jabre added 69 seconds to the song, stretching it more than a minute past the original. That is exactly the length at which a track starts to live in a DJ set rather than only in headphones.

The song was written and composed by Étienne Daho, published by Satori Song. On the standard album it is track eight.

Vanessa Paradis is a French singer and actress whose career began in 1987 with ‘Joe le taxi’. ‘Le retour des beaux jours’ is her new studio album, released on 10 October 2025 in two editions, of 12 and 19 tracks.
