DOROFEEVA and POSITIFF are back together — and their air-defence fundraiser closed in under two hours
The duet arrived exactly five years after the last release by the band they used to share. The symbolic goal of 505,404 hryvnias was passed, and the total came to over three million.
DOROFEEVA and POSITIFF have released the duet ‘Smak-pechal’ — exactly five years after the last release by Vremya i Steklo, the band in which they used to sing together.
The outlet Liroom reported it.
The release came with a fundraiser on the United24 platform: the money went towards AI-controlled Sky Sentinel turrets for Ukraine’s air defence.
The starting goal was symbolic — 505,404 hryvnias, a figure referencing the duo’s songs. It was met in under two hours, after which the target was doubled. By the morning of release day the total stood at 3,158,705 hryvnias.
“When I was thinking about who it could be, I felt straight away that enough time had passed for Liosha and me to come together again creatively. This song, the title, the lyrics — it all fits us and our reunion. This release gives a positive kind of sadness,” the artist said.
She said the track began as a solo one, and only once the chorus and the drop were finished did she realise that something — or rather someone — was missing.
The video became a visual continuation of the band’s story. Director Ruslan Makhov filled it with references to their old clips: the diadem from ‘Trol’, the exercise machine from ‘Ye, Boi’, the notebook from ‘Vislovo’ — and the signature dance moves viewers recognise without explanation.
We reported earlier that the artist had released the dance track ‘Add Some Light’.
