‘9 months & 50 hours’ is the name Fred again.. and LATIN MAFIA gave their joint record. It was made in two days in Mexico City, with viewers watching every step.

Fred again.. and LATIN MAFIA have released their joint mixtape, ‘9 months & 50 hours’. The British artist and the Mexican trio recorded it over two days in Mexico City, broadcasting the work without a break.

DJ Mag reported the release.

They walked into the studio the day after the premiere of their joint tour film ‘under the fabric’, which landed on Sunday 26 July. The stream stayed on until the record was finished, on Thursday the 30th. That same night they played a surprise show at the Palacio de los Deportes.

The very next day the tracks began appearing on Fred again..’s channel one after another: ‘Hey Hey’, ‘Bonita’, ‘Alvafro’, ‘benjy chord’, ‘Quiereme’ featuring bby, ‘Film Scene Soundtrack’ and a remix of ‘casino143’ with IVOXYGEN.

‘Cmon’ stands apart — the version LATIN MAFIA and Fred made with Brian Eno. It is not their first time together: in May 2023 the pair released the joint album ‘Secret Life’.

LATIN MAFIA are a trio of brothers from Mexico whose R&B has in recent years travelled far beyond the Spanish-speaking scene.

The two worlds had already met: in June, Fred again.. soundtracked the Dior menswear show in Paris, where he played LATIN MAFIA’s ‘y como te digo que’. In December he tours India.
