No demos, no sketches, no genre picked in advance. Not even the two of them know what will come out at the end.

Ihor Kyrylenko

alyona alyona and sound producer Ihor Kyrylenko will build a new track from scratch in two hours of live broadcast. The stream is set for the tenth of September, starting at eight in the evening.

Ihor Kyrylenko announced it on his own channel.

The terms of the experiment are harsher than the announcement makes them sound. There are no finished demos, no lyrics written beforehand, no script. The genre, the sound and the subject are unknown even to the two of them: everything gets decided on camera.

Who does what

The split is simple: the lyrics and the vocal go to alyona alyona, the arrangement and the production to Kyrylenko. Two hours is all the time they have given themselves.

“On 10 September we will create a track from scratch, live, right in front of your eyes,” Ihor Kyrylenko wrote.

The format is not new to him. In March he ran exactly the same session with LAUD — that stream went on for more than three hours, and the recording is still up on the channel. So “two hours” here is a guideline rather than a timer.

Access to the broadcast runs through a sign-up in a Telegram bot, linked in the same announcement. The platform for the stream itself is not named, but the previous session ran on his own channel.

Why they are doing it

The initiative comes from Kyrylenko’s school, and he makes no secret of it: the stated goal is to show the inner kitchen of production to people who are only starting out. The target audience is named outright — beatmakers, sound producers, songwriters and vocalists.

The interesting part is elsewhere. The Ukrainian scene rarely shows how a song is actually born: what reaches the outside is the finished result, while two hours of doubts, botched takes and endless hunting for sounds stay off camera. Here they promise to show all of it, unedited.

Earlier we wrote about SYNOPÓL and their release Порив — another Ukrainian electronic record out this week.
