A contemporary art gallery has opened inside Hï Ibiza — the world’s first designated gallery built inside a nightclub, according to the club.

Who built the space
The space was created with The Night League and the London digital art collective W1 Curates. It blends digital works, physical installations and interactive technology, along with murals and sculptures.
W1 Curates put their choice of partner briefly.
“Partnering with Yann and The Night League was an obvious choice for us at W1 Curates… we’re proud to contribute a vital element to the experience, connecting cultures through creativity, with art and music at the heart of it all,” said Mark Dale, CEO and Creative Director of W1 Curates.
The programme the club announced with W1 Curates includes works by Beeple, Mad Dog Jones, Ash Thorp, Ouchhh and Six N. Five, a red bear sculpture by New York artist WhIsBe and AR graffiti by British artist Mr Cenz, alongside Shiro Fujioka, Vollut and Annibale Siconolfi.
At the entrance guests are met by a mural from the artist Mr Cenz, whose work grew out of graffiti, music and street culture. Through the W1 Curates app the mural becomes interactive: point a phone at it and an augmented reality layer unfolds over the image.
Inside there are sculptures by KidEight and WhIsBe, and one of the club’s bars houses an exhibition of digital art. The artists were to rotate through the season, so returning guests would find something new.
A selection of the works went on sale. They were made exclusively for the Hï Ibiza and W1 Curates collaboration and are not available anywhere else.
Not a one-off
The club itself described the opening as a collision of art and technology, stressing that the gallery is the start of a whole series of events.
“Our partnership with W1 Curates is a true testament to the ambition and creative vision that defines The Night League. We are ever-evolving and consistently pushing boundaries to enhance the experience for all who step through our doors. It is an honour to present the work of some of the most pioneering and respected names in digital art,” said Yann Pissenem, Owner, Founder and CEO of The Night League.
The partnership was announced as Hï Ibiza was named the world’s No. 1 club by DJ Mag for a fourth consecutive year.
