HUGEL is bringing his Make The Girls Dance party to Greenwich in London: the show takes place on 7 August 2027 at the Old Royal Naval College, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the River Thames. It is his only UK performance of the whole of 2027 and his first UK show in the open air.
The organisers of the Labyrinth on the Thames series announced it on the show page.
Tickets go on sale in two stages, both on 6 November. The presale opens at 10:00 London time, only for those who have signed up on the website in advance, and general sale follows at 15:00. That is 12:00 and 17:00 in Kyiv. The show page does not list prices yet.
A bar beneath 3,700 square metres of paintings
The college is the architectural centrepiece of Greenwich, right on the bank of the Thames: it was built to Christopher Wren’s design between 1696 and 1712 as a hospital for seamen. VIP and backstage ticket holders will be able to enter the Painted Hall: more than 3,700 square metres of Baroque walls and ceilings, painted by James Thornhill between 1707 and 1726, with 200 figures of kings, queens and mythological creatures. The hall turned 300 this year. On show day it will house a bar, and the balcony under the colonnades will offer a view over the whole festival.
“London, we’re taking it to another level! Playing at the iconic Old Royal Naval College is gonna be something special. Historic walls, crazy energy, and one mission: MAKE THE GIRLS DANCE!” HUGEL said. The organisers have not forgotten the neighbours either: residents within half a mile can enter a ballot for discounted tickets, while those living on the venue perimeter, along with local charities and community groups, can apply for free ones.
Number two in the charts and sold-out nights in London
This year HUGEL released his debut album Twenty One, and its lead track Movin’ To The Sun with Ultra Naté and Imael Angel climbed to number two on the UK singles chart and spent 20 weeks there. In London, HUGEL has already sold out two nights at the Roundhouse, and in Ibiza he has held residencies at Hï Ibiza, Pacha and Ushuaïa.
The Labyrinth on the Thames series returns to the college for the third time. HUGEL is the second headliner announced for 2027: before him came BICEP Live, and all four nights from 29 July to 1 August have already sold out. This summer 76,000 people attended eight shows here, with sets from Dom Dolla, Peggy Gou, Michael Bibi and Moby. On our air HUGEL has been played 16 times in the last 30 days, most often Free (You Got To Live) with Ultra Naté.
In September we reported why the Grammys pulled Movin’ To The Sun from consideration and how HUGEL responded.
