KADNAY will play a big show in Kyiv in December, featuring songs from the upcoming album. Frontman Dmytro Kadnay revealed this in an interview for the show Vikend novoi muzyky on Radio Promin.
The interview was published by Suspilne Kultura.
“I can't give you a date yet, but we'll definitely share it as soon as the poster with the ticket link is up,” Kadnay says. According to him, the show “will be a dance one and a little different from the previous ones.” He did not say exactly where the concert will take place.
An album about himself
“Two songs from the new album are already 100% ready. Four more are in the works,” Kadnay says. The album, he says, will be highly conceptual and “totally built around me, my states, facets, feelings, different sides of me, not always pretty ones, but that's me.” He is not yet giving a title or a release date.
Plenty of people are working on the record, among them Yevhen Filatov, known as The Maneken. “It won't be a joint song, but production on his part,” Kadnay clarifies. The first step towards the album has already been taken: the song Ya khochu tvoho tepla (“I Want Your Warmth”), released in October, with horns arranged by Dennis Adu.
What to expect in December
This performance of Vse na sviti (“Everything in the World”), which the band posted in February, shows how KADNAY sound live. Kadnay himself calls the previous album, Kvitamy na hlybyni (“Flowers in the Deep”), the moment of the biggest changes in the band.
KADNAY are a constant on our air: 42 plays in the past month, most often Santiago and Tonight.
In October we reported on the release of the song “Ya khochu tvoho tepla”.
