A mantra for those whose story has just ended: Max Barskih has released ‘Liudyna dlia mene’

The single is part of a forthcoming Ukrainian-language album.

Max Barskih has released a new single, ‘A Person for Me’ — a melancholy pop mantra for anyone who still believes in real feelings after a painful break-up.

The TV channel M1 reported it.

Another track from the coming album

The release came as a surprise even to his fans: it is another track from a forthcoming Ukrainian-language album that already includes ‘In Love’, ‘It Doesn’t Work Out’, ‘Tears’ and ‘The Ex’.

Together these songs are gradually forming a kind of audio series about love, loss and the search for oneself, with a single emotional line running through the whole record.

“This song was born very unexpectedly. Like snow in the middle of summer,” Max Barskih says.

He then explains who it is addressed to.

“At the moment when passionate love ends and the everyday sets in, I still hope and I know for sure that somewhere there is a person for me. A person — for each of us.”

The video was directed, as usual, by Alan Badoiev, who has shaped the artist’s visual universe for many years.

The artist announced the festival as a new format: a series of large open-air concerts in different Ukrainian cities where the programme is not limited to the headline set. Through the day the stage carries DJ sets and guest artists, and Barskih closes the evening himself.

‘Liudyna dlia mene’ is due to be performed live for the first time at the artist’s own open-air event, Max Barskih ‘Sohodni maie sens’ Open Air Fest. The first concert of the series is set for 27 June in Kyiv.
