Curfew is getting closer and you do not want to say goodbye: TVORCHI have turned that into dance house
It is the Ternopil duo’s first single of 2026.
TVORCHI have released the single ‘Kholod’ (‘Cold’), their first release of 2026. The duo from Ternopil, winners of the YUNA award, turned the subject of a wartime curfew into dance house.

What the song is about
‘Kholod’ is described as a romantic story wrapped in nostalgic aesthetics: energetic music set against a soft, sensual lyric. It is the soundtrack of a first infatuation — when the temperature outside keeps rising, yet without her beside you it somehow feels cool.
“‘Kholod’ is about that very moment when the curfew is getting closer, it is time to part and you don’t want to. It’s a song about being in love, about a quickened heartbeat and that moment when you simply don’t want the evening to end,” TVORCHI say.
That turn is what makes the song Ukrainian without any declaration: the curfew here is not a subject for a statement but an everyday circumstance that cuts a date short.
In genre terms this is the territory where the duo is confident — dense dance house with a clear beat rather than a ballad.
A fifth YUNA statuette
Shortly before ‘Kholod’ the duo won a YUNA award in the Best New Version category — for their reworking of Volodymyr Ivasiuk’s hit ‘Myla moya’. For TVORCHI it is the fifth statuette of their career.
They explained their version like this.
“It is incredible that the song started going viral exactly after the video we shot in Volodymyr Ivasiuk’s homeland. We take it as a kind of creative blessing, and we are glad we gave new breath to such a great composition so that a young generation will hear it. Thank you for the creative legacy Volodymyr Mykhailovych left us, which is still relevant today. We dedicate our version of the song to all our dear girls and women,” TVORCHI said.
