Disclosure opened the year with a single on which Howard Lawrence sings lead

Their first release of 2026 starts with cinematic textures before a bass drop takes it straight to the dancefloor. The brothers shot the video against a mountainside — right before a North American tour and both weekends of Coachella.

Disclosure have released a new single, ‘The Sun Comes Up Tremendous’ — the first release of 2026 from brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence.

DJ Mag reported it.

This time Howard handles lead vocals himself — a notable move for a duo that usually builds its tracks around guest voices.

The track is a slow burner: it opens with sweeping cinematic melodies and textures, then a bass drop takes things straight to the dancefloor.

The video was directed by Colt Grice and Moldyroom. In it the brothers perform the track against a stunning mountainside backdrop — no plot, no sets, just landscape and two musicians.

The release arrived exactly as the duo prepared to embark on a North American tour, which includes sets at both weekends of Coachella.

The last couple of years have been well stocked for Disclosure: team-ups with Pa Salieu, Anderson .Paak and Chris Lake, and late last year a remix of Faithless’ ‘Insomnia’ for the track’s 30th anniversary. The brothers’ most recent album, ‘Alchemy’, came out in 2023.
