He called the track a joke at his own expense: the Frenchman brought in a Venezuelan duo and made ‘one night’ on the dancefloor
The producer set a Latin American rhythm over an Afro house pulse.
HUGEL has released the single ‘una noche con hugel’ together with the Venezuelan duo Alleh and Yorghaki.

Who Alleh and Yorghaki are
The release came out on Make The Girls Dance Records — the Frenchman’s own label, where he puts out his Latin-leaning tracks.
HUGEL spoke about launching that label back in the summer of 2023, in an interview with EDM House Network.
“I’m launching my own label soon called Make The Girls Dance Records so keep an eye out for that! It’s gonna be huge,” he said at the time.
The duo he brought in is singer Alleh Mezher and producer Yorghaki Yacoub. Both come from Valencia, the capital of the Venezuelan state of Carabobo; they have worked together since 2024, when they put out their first joint track, ‘Deja Vu’.
They call their sound merenguetón — Venezuelan merengue fused with contemporary reggaeton. That is the genre of their breakthrough, ‘capaz’: the track reached number 46 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and went platinum in Spain. In December 2024 Alleh and Yorghaki released their debut album, ‘La Ciudad’.
A formula honed over years
Musically this is what HUGEL built a career on: an Afro house pulse with a Latin rhythm laid over it. The formula he has honed for years works here without extra complication.
HUGEL himself is from Marseille and has been behind the decks since he was sixteen. Wide recognition came with his 2018 remix of ‘Bella Ciao’, platinum in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and his most successful track as of this release was ‘I Adore You’, made with Topic, Arash and Daecolm.
He dates his current signature to ‘Morenita’ — that, he says, is when the sound finally came together.
“I think I really found my sound since Morenita with these Latin House vibes. I’m really happy to see people from all over the world connecting with it. I do feel that this is a great accomplishment, but I also know that there is still so much more I can do — so I can’t wait to explore that,” he said in the same interview.
The title is a joke at his own expense: ‘one night with HUGEL’ sounds like the promise of a party, and that is exactly how the track is made.
The single opened a very dense 2025 for him: over the following nine months he would put out several more releases with guest voices.
