A first for Brazil: WHOLE Festival has announced the line-up for its São Paulo edition
Three days in November, six DJs, four live acts and four collectives. And for part of the audience the ticket will cost nothing at all.

WHOLE, the queer festival that grew out of the Berlin scene, is holding its first Brazilian edition. It takes place in São Paulo on 6–8 November.
The line-up was published by Resident Advisor.
The programme is built from both sides at once: European names next to Brazilian ones, DJ sets next to live performances.
Who plays
Behind the decks will be The Blessed Madonna, Massimiliano Pagliara, Rafa Maia, Lakuti, Tama Sumo and LOLSNAKE. The live half is made up of Isma, Katy da Voz e as abusadas, Linn da Quebrada and Juju ZL.
Collectives appear as a line of their own: Novo Affair, TESÃOZINHO INICIAL, BULTO and Prncptl. For a festival built around communities rather than headliners, that is not an addition to the line-up but its foundation.
Who pays less, and who pays nothing
Ticketing here is part of the programme rather than an administrative detail. FLINTA attendees pay a reduced price, while trans and non-binary people, as well as people with disabilities, get in free.
It is the same model the festival runs in Europe: the ticket is not only a source of income but a tool that decides who can physically end up on the dancefloor.
As ONE//FM reported, a listening bar called ESCUTA is opening in Rio de Janeiro — the Brazilian scene is growing this autumn by more than festivals alone.
