KLER in the Dysko-akula video
On 23 October KLER released the album Dysko-akula (“Disco Shark”). It has nine songs: four new ones and five that had already come out as singles. A video for the title track arrived together with the album.
The video premiered on the singer's YouTube channel, and she announced the album's release on her Telegram channel.
As the album's emblem KLER chose the whale shark, the largest fish on the planet, which feeds on plankton and poses no danger to humans. In an interview with Insider she explained that she sees in it strength without aggression and a vulnerability that is not weakness. Every whale shark also has its own unique pattern of spots, and in the same way, the singer says, every song on the album has its own character.
Four new songs
The new songs on the album are Dysko-akula, Pianiiu y plachu (“I Get Drunk and Cry”), Oh my love and Pid odnym sontsem (“Under One Sun”). The rest had already been released as singles, from Na vinili (“On Vinyl”) in April 2025 to September's Povilne dysko (“Slow Disco”), which KLER recorded with OTOY. She co-wrote the lyrics and music for Dysko-akula with Anton Kukri, who also produced the song.
The title track video was directed by Oleksandr Hirchenko, with Danylo Khomych as cinematographer. It was shot at the TSEKH gallery in Kyiv, and the heroine appears in four different looks, from a football kit to a blue leather jacket under disco lights.
A ten-city tour
KLER is taking the new songs on a tour of Ukraine. It kicks off on 2 November in Vinnytsia, then moves on to Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Dnipro, Poltava and Kharkiv. The tour wraps up on 18 December in Kyiv, at Stereo Plaza.
KLER's previous album, Yaka ye (“As I Am”), came out in May 2024. One of the songs on the new record, Tysiacha pisen (“A Thousand Songs”), has already become the anthem of the new edition of Fabryka Zirok, the Ukrainian TV talent show. The singer is on our airwaves too: over the past month her song “Nad khmaramy” (“Above the Clouds”) has been played on our station 26 times.
In September we told you how OTOY sang for the first time in his life, in a duet with KLER.
