Ten cities and a finale where it all began: Resident Advisor turns 25

Resident Advisor turns 25 this year, and it is marking the anniversary not with an editorial piece but with a tour. Ten stops, from 25 September to 5 December.

The programme is not only parties: the organisers promise live shows and free community-focused events.

Ten stops

The route deliberately refuses to stay on one continent: Europe, Asia, both Americas and Australia. October is the densest month, when the tour passes through Tokyo, Taipei, New York, Mexico City and Amsterdam in three weeks.

The Amsterdam stop falls during ADE, and there the event is free. Berlin is the largest in scale: the tour takes over three rooms at once — Tresor, Globus and OHM.

Not only parties

Alongside the tour come the book “Front Left: 25 Years of Electronic Music From the Future”, a limited merchandise run and an archival project — an attempt to gather what the publication has accumulated over a quarter of a century.

The Sydney finale is not an accident: RA was founded there in 2001, and the tour deliberately closes a loop — from 2026 back to the first day.
